SOR® Names New VP of Manufacturing

We're proud to welcome Bert Benton to the SOR family as Vice President of Manufacturing.

Bert, the son of a Ford Motor Company sales executive, was born in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , but lived in several U.S cities while growing up. He finished high school in Minneapolis , Minnesota and earned an MS degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Bert comes to SOR from Kustom Signals where he was President. Previous positions include Airsys ATM, Inc. where he was Director of Operations and Allied Signal Aerospace where he held the title of Plant Manager.

When he's not overseeing manufacturing operations at SOR, Bert likes to spend time enjoying family activities. His hobbies include carpentry and home remodeling, but with three sons, Blake, 17, Jamie, 15 and Will, 12, he and his wife Ashley spend a great deal of their spare time attending and supporting the boys' sports, music and theater events.

Bert says, “I'm excited about coming to SOR. The people are great, the market is healthy and we have a terrific product set.”
