Michael Buckley has accepted the position of Creative Services Manager at SOR®, effective July 13.  Michael is responsible for the development and execution of marketing communications and general brand representation as a member of the Marketing Department.

Michael brings loads of experience to SOR. 

He has been a career advertising and marketing professional, account executive, copywriter, creative director, broadcast producer and executive vice president with several prestigious advertising agencies. 

He has extensive experience working with dealer/distributor organizations in the manufacturing, transportation and agricultural industries. 

His work has spanned print ads, collateral, TV, radio, training manuals/videos, commercial newsletters, Web site copy, commercial music production and public relations materials, and has earned him numerous advertising and public relations awards.

In addition, Michael founded and operated his own film and video production company for 12 years.

SOR already knows Michael through his work for some of our ads and brochures, including the Model Representative's Handbook and the Loop Powered Ultrasonic launch packet, both of which recently won BMA awards, and, most recently, the Digital Lagoon 10th anniversary ad that appeared in the Kansas City Business Journal.  His wife, Kathryn, also a marketing services professional, is the one who designed our current SOR logo, and has done many projects with SOR since.

On the personal side, Michael enjoys sailing and playing drums in blues and rock and roll bands. He was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association Hall of Fame last September.
