The new temperature sensor line (opens in a new tab)from SOR Controls Group, Ltd is being introduced during the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2014 at booth 6644. Original equipment manufacturers using high pressure thermocouple assemblies and end users will benefit from SOR® engineering expertise and their ability to design hi pressure assemblies and fabrications to their specific and often specialized requirements. Ten’s of thousands of the SOR high pressure sensor assemblies have been used in the Oil and Gas industry since their introduction.
Also included in the SOR temperature sensor line are multipoint assemblies that allow, with a single process connection, the reading of up to 80+ temperature points to provide a temperature profile throughout the length of the column, tank or reactor. Versions are available that fit into an existing pipe well or protection well or include a guide tube design in its own flanged pipewell. With this design individual sensors can be removed and replaced without shutting down the process. For applications where a miniature design without a protection tube is required SOR has a full offering of various tubing OD’s from 1/16” and larger where multiple RTD or Thermocouple elements can be accurately positioned at defined locations in the tube and transitioned at the end with multiple flexible leads for each discrete sensor point. With proven design and engineering, the accurate performance of multipoint assemblies is guaranteed with our unique “cross calibration” and “Positive Point Identification” (PPI). PPI assures like accuracy of each sensor used and confirmation of location over the entire length of the assembly within +/-0.25 inches.
