LENEXA, KANSAS (October 23, 2025) – SOR Controls Group, a Lenexa-based manufacturer with a global footprint spanning 86 countries, has been named a top-three finalist for the 2025 Kansas Governor’s Exporter of the Year Award.
The company was recognized at the Kansas Department of Commerce’s To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards ceremony on October 16, held at the Robert W. Plaster Center at Pittsburg State University before an audience of nearly 500 business leaders and state officials.

The Governor’s Exporter of the Year Award, administered by the Kansas Department of Commerce (KDOC) in conjunction with the Kansas International Trade Coordinating Council (KITCC), has recognized exceptional Kansas exporters for more than 30 years. The award showcases companies committed to expanding sales in international markets and serves as a model for other Kansas businesses seeking global growth.
SOR Controls Group’s nearly eight decades of export success include significant achievements across global markets. The company’s industrial process instrumentation is installed in a large majority of China’s coal-fired power plants and serves customers throughout oil and gas operations worldwide.
