Electronic Technician

Summary

Employee will adhere and promote all company procedures and policies.  Use schematics, drawings, and procedures to assemble, calibrate/test, and troubleshoot electronic products.  Aid in implementation of new products to include production process and procedure changes, training, etc.  Use of test equipment to troubleshoot and repair PCB assemblies to component level.  Establish and maintain good working relationships with other SOR depts.  Perform special assignments as delegated by supervisor/manager.

Essential Function Statements

  • Troubleshoot PCB assemblies to component level and repair.
  • Perform calibration/testing of all electronic products.
  • Aid in implementation of all new products to include training other employees working with supervisor/manager to establish production procedures/process.
  • Understand and follow all general procedures for department and procedures assigned to position.
  • Use of automated test systems as well as mensor test stations.
  • Use of testing equipment to include but not limited to o-scope, multimeter, hy-pot, megger, and power supplies.
  • Assemble all products with little to no supervision.
  • All other functions/responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Maintains cooperative working relationship with company employees.

 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree in related field.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Must comply with ANSI/IPC-A-610-B Class z soldering

Required Skills

  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electronics.
