Essential Functions Statements

  • Diagnoses hardware and software failures, communicates the remediation plans to users, and provide status updates
  • Responsible for answering and logging Support Desk requests for assistance from our end users.
  • Maintains a high degree of knowledge relating to computer and network security, including firewalls, spam filters.
  • Responsible for gaining a broad knowledge of the systems and which include but are not limited to Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office products including Office 365, VPN, Door access, and various custom developed applications.
  • Assist with the monitoring, testing, reporting and troubleshooting of network and server performance as needed;
  • Works independently on large and/or complex technical projects.
  • Must have good troubleshooting skills
  • All other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Technical Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of system administration experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Office 365 hybrid environment management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of VMWare Administration experience

 REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Experience administering VMware ESXi.
  • Experienced with Office 365 in a hybrid environment.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts.
  • General knowledge and experience in scripting tools (like Powershell,)
  • Linux Experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to train end-users on the use of computer applications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Required to report to work punctually as scheduled and to work all scheduled hours and any required overtime.
