Lenexa, KS, October 2021 – SOR Controls Group announced that Mike Taylor has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer of the company. Taylor succeeds Charisse Konrady who retired after being the CFO for 27 years.
Mike has more than 20 years of experience as a senior finance and business leader in public, private equity and family-owned organizations in the manufacturing and distribution, engineered products, construction, and service industries. Mike brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to help SOR Controls Group continue its goal of providing safe and reliable measurement and control products for the industrial sector.
Mike began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., as a Senior Auditor, Staff Auditor where his primary industry focus was on middle market Transportation, Manufacturing, Wholesale and Construction. Recognizing he enjoyed the operations side of those companies, he joined Henry Wurst Inc. as Controller before being promoted to Chief Financial Officer, Secretary & Treasurer. There, he was responsible for all financial and cost accounting matters, including payroll, purchasing, and estimating as well participating on the IT Steering Committee.
From there, Mike has spent the next 16 years in key financial leadership positions, most recently with Continental Disc Corporation as the Global Chief Financial Officer and International Board Director. He was responsible for consolidated financial statements and their global Finance and IT teams.
Mike received both his B.B.A., Accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy at Wichita State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Born and raised in Kansas, he and his wife Marcy reside in Olathe, KS. In his spare time Mike enjoys playing golf and working out. Each year he and his wife enjoy being a host family to out of state college baseball players as they play summer league baseball.
Mike reports directly to Linda Dunlap, Chairman of the Board and Owner of SOR Controls Group.
