SOR® Pressure Transmitter Family Grows with New 1800 Series Conventional Transmitters

1800 Series Pressure Transmitter

(Lenexa, Kansas, USA – January 13, 2020) SOR Inc. is adding conventional style transmitters to the existing 800 Series compact transmitter line to enhance its’ pressure transmitter product portfolio.

“The 1800 Series Pressure Transmitters were added to the family to augment form, fit, and function. With its compact design, the 800 Series is ideal for skid systems and wellhead control panels, where weight and size are primary considerations. The 1800 Series Conventional Pressure Transmitters are well fit for intrinsically safe applications or conventional transmitter installations where a compact footprint is impractical”, explained Matt Giunta, SOR Product Manager.

The 1800 Series are available in 3 different models: gauge pressure measurement with standard over pressure rating, gauge pressure measurement with high over pressure rating, and differential pressure measurement. They utilize an advanced monosilicon pressure sensor and incorporate a patented encapsulation technology to achieve exceptional mechanical and thermal isolation from the process. All 1800 Series Conventional Pressure Transmitters include a standard ±0.075% accuracy and external push-buttons for device setup and calibration. Additionally, the 1800 Series are available with 2, 3, or 5-valve manifolds.

“With both the 800 and 1800 Series, SOR now provides continuous pressure measurement solutions for systems incorporating either compact or conventional style transmitters and applications requiring either Intrinsically Safe or Explosion Proof approval”, said Matt Giunta.
