About Specialty Temperature Sensors

Some temperature measurement applications create exceptional challenges and therefore require specialized engineered solutions. Some examples of these special applications include surface temperature measurement of vessels and multi-point temperature profiling. SOR provides multiple special solutions for these types of temperature measurement.

Surface Sensors

• The surface pad provides fast and accurate measurement
• Primary control element for freeze protection control loops
• A retractable design allowing removal of sensor is available
• SOR designs have been used to measure the skin temperature of vessels, pipes, boiler tubes, superheater tubes, and more
• Tested and proven by major users of thermocouple and RTD surface temperature sensors

Multipoint Sensors

• Use either thermocouples or RTDs – and in some cases both
• Secondary seals available for extra safety assurance
