1710 Compact Level Switch

The SOR 1710 is a direct-mounted, horizontal, float-operated level switch suitable for plant and OEM applications where open or closed contacts are required to signal the presence or absence of liquid at a discrete level.

While the 1710 shares a lot in common with its cousin the 2210, the 1710 differs in a couple of key features.

First, the 1710 is designed to handle hazardous environments. Worldwide Flameproof/Explosion-proof listings are standard on each and every 1710. No additional cost, and no additional accessory codes to remember.

Second, the 1710 can be ordered as a direct-mounted device or with an optional chamber. This gives OEMs and plants the flexibility to mount the 1710 directly on the side of the vessel whenever possible, saving cost. The 1710 can also be supplied with a chamber providing most of the functionality of the 2210 but with hazardous location approvals.
