Collecting reliable accurate samples often involves collecting samples at a location where there is an elevated temperature due to chemical reactions or heating to separate lighter components. Additionally, delicate instruments and analyzers are subject to potential damage due to elevated temperatures. SENSOR Sampling provides a variety of Tube-in-Tube Coolers to meet challenging applications and specific temperature needs.
- In many cases the lowering of the temperature of the process that is being collected is needed to protect the operator from burns and/or breaking of bottles due to temperature shock.
- The most common way to lower the temperature prior to collection is with the use of sample coolers or heat exchangers.
- Usually, the sample temperature must be below 140⁰F to comply with Health, Safety and Environment rules for safe handling.
Unfortunately, one cooler does not fit all. Having sufficient process and cooling media properties is critical to proper sizing of the sample cooler. Bigger isn’t always better when it comes to cooling the sample properly. Over cooling can raise viscosities and could lead to plugging issues. It is always best to do proper sizing and find the best cooling solution, SENSOR Sampling is here to help.
