SOR Controls Group (SCG), known for its line of pressure, temperature, level and flow products for the measurement and control industry, welcomes Dave Reif as the new Vice President of Sales. In this role, Dave will manage all Sales and Customer Service operations for the SCG brands which include SOR, Smart Sensors, SETEX Products, SENSOR Sampling Systems and SENSOR Data Monitoring Systems.
“Dave has broad experience in the measurement and control industry across multiple market sectors and multiple roles. He has been responsible for achieving significant revenue growth in his previous roles,” said SOR President & CEO Mike Waters. “and we will look to Dave’s leadership and knowledge as we drive for continued expansion of SCG’s existing and new markets.”
Dave began his career as a Process Engineer for Fluor Engineers and Constructors doing process design and startup of oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical facilities. He joined Emerson in 1985 where he spent the next 26 years of his career progressing through the company in Sales and Marketing roles, ultimately being promoted to Vice President Global Industry Sales and Marketing, Process Systems and Solutions, where he was responsible for the industry marketing strategy across Emerson Process Group companies.
Dave later joined Tyco International where he was the Vice President, Enterprise Business Development and Strategy. His focus was to define the structure and hire staff for a vertical industry-focused enterprise business model and organization for Tyco’s Valves and Controls, Fire, Life Safety, and Security business across focus industrial markets of Marine, Transportation and Oil and Gas. From there Dave joined Corval Group, LLC as the Vice President, Business Development. Here, he was responsible for developing and implementing a structured Business Development Process, at Corporate and within the multiple business units.
Dave received a Bachelor’s of Science Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. He has a Master’s of Business Administration; Emphasis Finance from the University of St. Thomas. From 2010 – 2015, He was an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Business/MBA Program and currently serves on the external advisory board for the Chemical Engineering program at Michigan Tech.
