SOR hires 25-year measurement and control veteran John Galey as Gulf Central Regional Sales Manager.
October 17, 2016 (Lenexa, Kansas) SOR has hired John Galey as the newest member of the Sales Team by filling the position of Regional Sales Manager for the Gulf Central United States. John has over 25 years of successfully selling Instrumentation in the Refining and Petrochemical marketplace in the Gulf Coast.
“John brings a successful track record of business development as a Regional Manager and has been a top performer in previous positions,” said Mike Waters, CEO and President of SOR Controls Group.
John began his career as an Inside Sales Manager at Thermetrics-Maveric selling Temperature Instrumentation. Since then, he has had a progressive and successful career in sales including his time as an Account Manager for WIKA Instrument Corporation, where John sold engineered temperature and level measurement products to the Refining and Petrochemical Industry. At WIKA, he helped open a branch office in the Houston market to introduce the product to the U.S. market place. Most recently John worked at Emerson Process Management – Rosemount Inc., where he sold Pressure, Temperature, Level and DP flow instrumentation Products and Services as an Account Manager.
In addition to his diverse career experience, John has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin University.
John resides in a suburb in Houston, TX with his wife and four children. He is an avid marathon and 5K runner.
